For over a century in Europe it has been the tradition for the finest wine estates to produce two labels. The first label represents the finest wines the estate produces made from the best blocks and the choicest barrels — the greatest quality of expression of the estate.

The second label is made from the wines that remain after the first selection is made. In great years these wines can be amazing and even in average years they come from a great vineyard, farmed to a perfectionist’s degree.

Alder Springs Vineyard has adopted this tradition. Our signature label is ALDER SPRINGS VINEYARD. Our everyday luxury second label is 49 CROWS.
